Lost Highway by David Lynch

Lost Highway, directed by David Lynch is a film that follows a jazz musician who is effected by strange events. Like most of David Lynch's films there is a constant feeling of the supernatural. It's one of my favorite films and has the best lighting of any film I know.

This film also has one of the best movie soundtracks that I've heard. Full of great acting and always keeping you on the edge of your seat, the way David Lynch can portray the mysteriousness of darkness and make the most of silence is second to none. A film definitely worth watching!

You might recognize some of David Lynch's other films: Blue Velvet, Eraserhead, Mullholland Dr. etc.

  11. Lost Highway is great but I wouldn't suggest it as an intro to David Lynches filmography. I'd recommend either Blue Velvet or Wild at Heart. Which have more strait forward plots than his other films to ease you into the Lynchian atmosphere. My favorite from him is Eraserhead.

  18. David Lynch is a great director, I didn't really like this film though. I gave it a fair shot, and couldn't get into the character..

  19. Yeah, I'm going to have to go with the people saying that this isn't as great as Lynch's earlier work. Just not as surreal in my opinion.

  20. Thanks for your thoughts on the film. Although not a horror movie it is the most spine-chilling movie I know! Beats every Hostel etc. by far!
