In Bruges (2008)

Cover from:

A delightful yet tragic film featuring Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson, and Ralph Fiennes, directed by Martin McDonagh. I hadn't seen a trailer or read about this film prior to seeing it and I was surprised to have found the film so captivating given the relatively small area the film covers in its entirety. The attitudes the characters portray in the film are second to none, each of the main actors have surprising characteristics that you can't forget and grow to love.

I had heard a few good things about it which is what lead me to watch it, although the fact Colin Farrell was staring in it did help convince me that it was most likely worth seeing. The last film I saw him in was Crazy Heart I believe, which is another amazing film.

It's definitely a film worth seeing, that said it comes off as somewhat of a dark comedy, the plot is very interesting and it keeps you guessing. You have the feeling you know what will eventually happen, but are met with delightful and tragic surprises all along the way.

The Shell

A picture I took of a seemingly perfect shell that we found in a dried out riverbed. I find this photo pleasing because of how clear the shell is, which seems to be multiplied by using a small f/stop. I also really like the colors of her bracelets. :3
